Is there something that I and other family members can start investing into for my nephews and nieces college? I don’t think my sister thinks far enough ahead to prepare and I would like to see her kids have the option of going to college.

I am doing an M.B.A. presentation on Angel investing and am trying to use a big corporation as an example of successful angel investing. Are there any big companies that started off using angel investing to fund their idea and now are very successful? Please let me know of any. Thanks.

JaiMiN asked:

I was in the States as an international student. Since i have completed my studies i have come back to my home country. What i want to ask is, can i still invest in Bonds, Equity, CD’s, etc…through my bank a/c, which is active. I will not be investing more than $5000. I do have a Social Security Numer and a active checking a/c(which i had opened up while my stay over there), and now even plan on opening up a savings a/c with the same bank. Would i be able to do that(invest) without any problems? Like from immigration office or the govt. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Me asked:

It’s for a project I have to do. What exactly can you learn from investing in the stock market?

I wrote how unpredictable it is and how hard it is to choose what stock to buy. You can never know for sure how the stock will do over an extended period of time.

Hi all,
I was looking at investing in some geothermal companies, however I’m told this is speculative. What is the difference between this speculative type buying and long term investing?
cheers
ok, so speculations has nothing to do with whether a company is established well or not?
Also can someone tell me how a companies ‘blue chipness’ has anything to do with whether it is high risk or not?
